Storage is only half the job
Putting belongings into storage is easy. Getting them back — the right pieces, to the right place, at the right time — is where storage usually gets complicated. Our storage and delivery service covers the second half: delivery from storage when and where you need it, in one trip or in phases, plus pickup and delivery of furniture from stores, warehouses and private sellers across Greater Montreal.
If you are looking for storage itself — short-term between two moves, or long-term — see our storage page. This page is about delivery.
Delivery from storage
All at once
The simplest case: your new home is ready, and everything in storage comes to it in one trip. We load from storage in the order that suits the new home — beds and kitchen first — deliver, carry everything to the right rooms and reassemble furniture.
In phases
Often you do not need everything at once. The bedroom furniture is needed now; the living room waits until the floors are finished; the dining set goes to a family member. We deliver what you ask for, when you ask for it, and keep the rest on the inventory. Each delivery is scheduled like a small move.
To several addresses
Estates, downsizings and family moves often split one storage lot between several people. We deliver each person’s pieces to their own address, on the same day where the route allows.
Individual items
Need one box of winter clothes or a single piece of furniture? We retrieve it from storage and deliver it, or combine it with another delivery in your area.
Furniture pickup and delivery
Not everything we deliver comes from our storage. We also pick up furniture you have bought and bring it home:
- From stores and warehouses that do not deliver, or whose delivery date is weeks away.
- From private sellers on online marketplaces — a sofa in Laval, a dresser in Verdun, a dining table in Brossard.
- From family — a piece of furniture from a parent’s home, an inheritance, a gift.
- To another city in Quebec or Ontario, on a shared route.
We inspect items at pickup, wrap them for transport, carry them to the room you choose — including up Montreal staircases — and reassemble anything we took apart. We measure first: if a sofa will not make the turn on your staircase, we tell you before we try, not halfway up.
Delivery for businesses
Furniture retailers, interior designers, home stagers and businesses with a warehouse often need a reliable delivery crew rather than a full moving company. We deliver from warehouses and showrooms to clients, move staging furniture between properties, and handle deliveries between business locations. Regular deliveries can be scheduled and priced as a fixed rate per trip.
How delivery is priced
| Delivery | How it is priced |
|---|---|
| Delivery from our storage | hourly, like a local move, or included in your storage plan |
| Single item from a store or seller | hourly with the usual minimum, or a fixed price per trip |
| Several items or addresses | hourly for the route, or a fixed price |
| Regular business deliveries | fixed rate per trip, agreed in advance |
There is no stair fee and no weekend premium. See the pricing page for current rates.
What to tell us
- Pickup address and who will be there — a store, a seller, a storage facility.
- Delivery address, the floor and whether there is an elevator.
- The items, with dimensions for anything large.
- Your time window, and any building rules for deliveries.
- Whether assembly is needed or packaging should be removed.
Why not just use the store’s delivery?
Sometimes you should. But store deliveries often stop at the door, arrive in an all-day window weeks later, or do not handle stairs. Private sellers rarely deliver at all. A delivery crew that carries items to the right room, up any staircase, on a date you choose, is often worth the difference — and we protect your floors and door frames while we do it.
Across Greater Montreal
We deliver on the island of Montreal, in Laval, on the South Shore and North Shore, in the West Island and in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. For deliveries further away, ask about shared routes to Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto.
Storage and delivery together
The easiest way to use storage is to book pickup, storage and delivery together: we load your belongings when you leave, keep them on an inventory, and deliver them — all at once or in phases — when you are ready. One crew, one company, no rented van and no second loading fee. If you only need loading help for your own truck, see moving helpers.
Returning items to storage
Deliveries also run the other way. When furniture no longer fits after a move, when seasonal items need to go back, or when a renovation starts in another room, we collect the items and return them to storage, updating the inventory so you always know what is where. Pickups and deliveries can be combined on the same trip. If you are not sure what is still in storage, ask for the current inventory before you book a delivery.
Delivery checklist
Before a delivery from storage or a store, check these so the day goes smoothly:
- Measure the doors, stairs and the room where large items will go, and compare with the item’s dimensions.
- Book the elevator if you live in a condo or apartment building, and ask about delivery hours.
- Clear the path from the entrance to the room.
- Decide where each item goes so the crew can place it directly.
- Be there, or have someone there, to receive the delivery and check it.
Phased delivery during a renovation
Renovations rarely finish on schedule. With phased delivery, rooms are furnished as they are ready: the bedrooms first, the kitchen when the counters are in, the living room when the floors are finished. Each delivery is a short trip, and nothing sits in a hallway waiting for a room that is still being painted.
Delivery for home staging
Home stagers and real estate agents need furniture moved in before listing photos and out after the sale — often on tight deadlines. We deliver staging furniture from your warehouse or storage to the property, place it according to your plan, and collect it afterwards.
Inspection and condition
At pickup, we check the item for visible damage and note it before loading. From stores, we check the box or the piece against the order. From private sellers, we check that the item is what you bought — we will call you before loading if something looks wrong. At delivery, you check it before we leave.
Assembly after delivery
Furniture taken apart for transport is reassembled at no extra charge. New flat-pack furniture can be assembled on request; large systems such as wardrobes or modular shelving are quoted separately because they can take several hours.
Deliveries outside Greater Montreal
For deliveries to Quebec City, Ottawa, Sherbrooke, Toronto and other cities, we use shared routes when possible: your item travels with other shipments going the same way, which keeps the price reasonable. Timing is a window rather than an exact hour; we confirm it before loading.
Why a professional delivery crew
Delivery looks simple until a sofa meets a Montreal staircase or a glass table meets a curb. Our crews move furniture every day, measure before they lift, protect floors and walls, and carry items to the right room. And because they are our employees, working under our insurance, there is a company responsible for the delivery from pickup to placement.
Delivery pricing examples
A single sofa from a store or seller to an apartment in the same area usually fits inside the minimum. Several items from different addresses, or a delivery that crosses the island at rush hour, takes longer and is billed for the route. Deliveries from our storage are billed like a short local move, or included when delivery was part of your storage plan. You always get the price before the delivery is scheduled, and there is no extra charge for stairs.
Common deliveries we handle
- A sofa bought from a store that only delivers to the curb, carried up to a third-floor walk-up in Rosemont.
- A dining table and chairs from a seller in Laval, delivered to a condo in Griffintown with an elevator booking.
- Bedroom furniture from storage delivered first, the rest of the home a month later when the renovation is done.
- An inherited armoire from a family home in the West Island, delivered to a grandchild’s apartment in the Plateau.
- Weekly deliveries from a furniture showroom’s warehouse to its clients across the island.
Timing your delivery
For deliveries from our storage, give us a few days’ notice so we can schedule a crew and load in the right order. For store and marketplace pickups, check the store’s pickup hours or confirm the time with the seller first; we coordinate the pickup window with you. Around July 1, crews are booked weeks ahead, so plan deliveries for that week early or move them a few days earlier or later.
