One service area, one hourly rate
Greater Montreal is one moving market with many sets of rules. On the island, most boroughs require a permit to reserve street space for a truck, and the independent cities have their own. In Laval and on both shores, most homes have driveways, but condo towers have elevator bookings and certificates of insurance. In Vaudreuil-Soulanges and on the North Shore, the questions are more often about long driveways, new streets and rural access.
Our prices do not change with any of that. A move anywhere in these six regions — or between two of them — is billed at the same hourly rate from the moment the crew arrives. Travel time is one hour (30 minutes each way) on the island of Montreal, in Laval and on the South Shore; for the North Shore and Vaudreuil-Soulanges it is set in your estimate according to the address. What changes is the plan: the crew size, the truck and the paperwork we prepare before the day.
Moving further
Moves from Greater Montreal to Quebec City, Gatineau, Sherbrooke, Ottawa, Toronto and beyond are priced as one fixed amount; see long-distance moving. Moves to the United States are covered under Canada–USA moving.
