How we work
Every move starts the same way: you tell us what is moving and where — by phone, through the form or with a short video. We send a written estimate: an hourly range for local moves, a fixed price for long distance, and a fixed or hourly quote for commercial projects, depending on the job. Most estimates go out within the hour.
Before moving day we do the paperwork nobody enjoys: the elevator booking, the certificate of insurance for your building, the customs inventory for a move to the United States. On the day, a crew on our payroll arrives in a Simplex truck, protects the floors, wraps the furniture and carries everything. The crew chief walks through both addresses with you at the start and at the end.
Why we do not subcontract
Many of the moving companies you find online are booking agents. They take the deposit and pass the job to whichever truck is free that morning. When something goes wrong, the company you paid and the people standing in your home are not the same company, and neither owns the problem.
Everyone who arrives at your door works for us, in our uniform, in our truck. That limits how fast we can grow — we cannot take a job we do not have staff for — and it is the decision that most affects what moving day actually feels like. In the last week of June, when we are full, we say we are full.
What we do
We move apartments, condos and houses across Montreal, the West Island, Laval, the North Shore, the South Shore and Vaudreuil-Soulanges. We move offices, shops, clinics and warehouses after hours. We move families to Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver at a fixed price, and between Canada and the United States with the customs paperwork prepared in advance. We pack, crate and store, and we move pianos, safes, art and antiques. The full list is on the services page.
What we are not
For a two-box studio move, a full move is not always the best value: our labour-only helpers or a friend with a van may cost less, and we will say so. We do not run our own ships — overseas moves travel by ocean container with a freight forwarder we work with. We do not move households between two cities inside the United States. And we do not give immigration or tax advice; we prepare the moving paperwork and point you to the people who do the rest.
How we price, and why it is public
Hourly rates, travel time, the minimum and long-distance starting prices are published on the pricing page, because “call for a quote” mostly exists to get your phone number before you can compare. The calculator will get you a realistic range without talking to anyone. Our number is sometimes higher than a competitor’s opening number; that is usually because ours includes the truck, the materials and the insurance. Ask any company what is not in their quote — the answer tells you more than the price.
Where we work from
Our address is 1000 Chemin du Golf in Verdun, on Nuns’ Island, a few minutes from downtown and right by the Samuel-De Champlain Bridge to the South Shore. That is why a Brossard job and a Plateau job can run on the same day, and why storage between two moving dates does not need a second company. The licensing page explains what we hold and how to check it.
